Diet Coke and Mentos, Near Death

In the summer after graduating from high school, a few friends got together and decided to experiment with amateur rocketry by mixing Diet Coke and Mentos at their local high school tennis court. After ten or so failed attempts, they were down to their last bottle of Coke. Feeling like the last bottle was finally going to take flight, the cameraman turned on his point-and-shoot camera and began to take video. The rest is viral video history.
