New device pulls water from thin air

A mat made of billions of carbon nanotubes can suck water out of thin air - even in the driest places on Earth. The advance, which takes a cue from the wings of the Namib Desert beetle, could one day help harvest much-needed water in the world's arid regions.

  1. only problem is the water is still coming from somewhere it could affect other places we dont know yet what could happen

  2. Let's see.. By pulling water from the air in areas with barely any humidity, we would be depriving other things in the area from that already barely-existent water vapor? Nice one, comments section! Now finish my order of fries!
