2. Did not want the gold-embroidered red stole, Heir of the Roman Empire, nor the red chasuble...
3. Uses same old black shoes, not the classic red.
4. Uses a metal cross, not of rubies and diamonds.
5. His papal ring is silver, not gold.
6. Uses the same black pants under the cassock, to remember that he is a another priest. Have you discovered the 7th?
7. Removed the red carpet... He is not interested in fame and applause...

You jst find another way of getting th same results and thts exactly wat his doing... Taking th humble way to fit in nicely with th claims of being a vicar of christ. Woe to those tht will fall for this. Jesus' humility was genuine bcz it stemmed from the heart... IT CAN NEVER BE COPIED!
I always wondered about the vulgar display of wealth. The Bible says, priests should not wear flashy garments of reds, golds, purples.
Give all their money to the people most in need then I'll be impressed lol

Being raised Catholic, Pope Francis is an excellent example of the direction that the Catholic Church and all organized religions for that matter ought to go. Take it down to basics, let your words and most of all your actions be the example to lead others and not your wealth and material possessions.
I'm not Catholic but I really admire the way this Pope represents his faith. It's not about him is about Christ.
